Men who go there aren't respectful of women outside the club either.

Honestly, men in the club are way more respectful than men on the street, mostly because there are other men there who are paid to make sure there's no BS.

It's almost like men policing other men's behavior works...

In this instance, it was a woman who wanted to go.

Since this post is about a woman wanting to go, you've basically answered your own question. It's subversive. By inverting the traditional gender norm aspects, it inverts the power dynamics.

Because sex sells? JFC it's not rocket science.

In any case, it's interesting that your gf kept bringing this up though you were uncomfortable with the idea. Why didn't she just go with her friends? Seems like she's not ready to fully explore her sexuality and she's trying to tell you something.

I don't know about a couple...but of course there is the Good Guys strip club in Glover Park DC which is right next to the Whole Foods, Guy Mason Park, etc.

It seems very out-of-place, but if you live in that area you would walk by it all the time.

A lot of the DC strip clubs are places you'd walk past. Camelot and mPire are both on M Street by office buildings, Archibald's is downtown on K, whatever the new name for the spot at Connecticut and Florida. They're not out of the way.

I went to strip clubs a few times in my twenties/early thirties. They are seedy, but the girls look beautiful. I went to one that seemed like a straight up brothel - in Miami on my honeymoon, lol - but otherwise enjoyed them. (I am married to a man but am bisexual.) I’m nearly 40 now and have no interest in going to any strip clubs.

She is trash, get away and cut contact. Try to meet someone quality next time.

Are you a woman? Why do you like going to strip clubs? That's not a judgmental question. I'm curious to know.

Strip clubs are gross. Pornography is better unless you bare going to the club because it's the only way you can get a woman to touch you.

She has been to strip clubs before. She just wanted to go with you, see your reaction or play dumb. That frisky part is not what I get at all as a woman. It was a numbing experience rather.
We had to leave as we were out of money after second round.
