Both extremes are harmful. It’s weird to be so afraid of a scale and knowing how much you weigh.

Are there medical issues? That's a extremely low weight for a kid that height.
My 14 year old is the same height an 147 lbs which puts him pretty solidly in the middle of the healthy weight category.

PP here. Is considered underweight/really low on normal. She eats healthy but we are okay with some junk food so that she can put on some weight/gain extra calories for sports which happen every night of the week. She has a fast metabolism and doesn't eat as much as she should, but we can't force her.
