We need to dismantle the current “intelligence community” as it exists now. It is dangerous to our democracy and republic.

Looking through the documents there are various places where confidential informants are identified by name. For example, individuals within Cuba supplying information on the Castro governement. I could imagine that the government would want to avoid identifying those people for several decades after the information was passed, to avoid retribution. Even now, I wonder about retribution against the informants' families/descendants. But I'm not a CIA expert so I'm not sure what's standard/reasonable.
