I've been posting that Democrats do not have any leverage, but all people wanted to do was resist, even if the resisting meant Trump got to cut government even more.


For me, it's more about Democrats speaking out, which very few are doing. You can be sure that if the shoe were on the other foot, Republicans would not be nearly as silent as Schumer and the Democrats have been.

Not the issue. They are punishing DC children for no reason at all. Keeping them from receiving our city's own tax dollars.

This was all true yesterday when Schumer announced that the Dems would not support the CR. It makes me sick to think about it but something happened in the ensuing 24 hours. This is very bad.


Perhaps he read my post here that Trump wants Schumer to shut things down.

He is a pragmatist. Dems are in a "damned if they do and Damned if they don't." The lesser of two evils to vote for the bill the House passed. Trump and Muck would do more harm if there is a government shutdown.

Trump is tanking the economy and now only Trump is to blame.

It’s done. Democrats are the problem. We have no representation in this government or this country. I am so upset but I know there is no hope.


Republicans are creating this. Democrats resisting or not is not the central problem.
