I always suspected 25th percentile was good enough
My kid was accepted RD with 1500 SAT, which she submitted. In general, I think 1500 gets submitted everywhere.

It is an excellent school…but…it is very tough on grading (100% grade deflation). My superstar academic kid had a rude awakening. Fair warning…

In fact…WashU sends an email to students before offering them a spot on the waitlist asking for confirmation that the spot will be accepted before the offer is sent. It says congrats before we offer you the spot please confirm it will be accepted.
Did your kid click the button saying he would accept it? Without that, the waitlist spot does not officially turn into an offer.
Sorry..before offering a spot OFF the waitlist…
