He is a turd in the toilet that is the United States.

That is his only legacy.

History will probably look at him like Reagan, plenty of people love him, plenty of people hate him. Biden will probably be a footnote in history like HW Bush.

No way. Reagan was wildly popular, and he was responsible for bringing down the Wall. Even his detractors will give him credit for that.

I and most of my friends hate Reagan! He killed so many Americans with his failure to address AIDS. He also combed his hair with a washcloth. The wall fell because the USSR ran out of money and there was a major miscommunication regarding the wall in E Germany. Reagan just happened to be President.

The USSR ran out of money because Reagan kept military spending high, triggering an arms race he knew they could not afford. If the wall hadn't come down then, it would have come down, and Reagan totally gets the credit for this. I say this as someone who did not vote for him.

The idiot Trumpers throwing shade at Reagan either weren't alive when we had real presidents pre-2017 or just weren't paying attention.

Honestly, I think Trump will stand on his own — no comparisons needed. The real question will be what was it that millions of Americans found so attractive. Was it his clear mental illness and dementia? Was it the TV show? Was it purely racism, selfishness and ignorance— details be damned?

I just hope enough of us decent people survive to do our own version of Never Again.

PP, are you starting as far back as COVID? When he avidly ramped up racism in NYC? Internationally? Yeah, no doubt.

I suspect they like a dominant man who goes at it hard (as one of his cabinet members mentioned) and that many in MAGA have daddy issues. Look at Michael Cohen. He considered Don the Con as a daddy figure for some weird reason--prob because his own dad sucked.

I also think MAGA lacks empathy. Too many of them now say they didn't realize "our" lives would be affected this way by voting for Trump. They say they wanted "other" people to be hurt and that Trump is hurting the "wrong" people by firing their little princess behinds.

Dark
Destructive
Evil

I think the America we know will survive, but it will take a admission of fault, regrouping, and rebuilding the economy & government.
It will take decades.

We have far far to fall first though.

Reagan isn't as popular now as he was in the 80s and deservedly so but he was a very good national leader and at least average overall as a president. Biden and especially Trump have not even come close to the high bar set by our former presidents. The past 8 years have been a complete embarrassment to the POTUS office..

You think the Dems are emasculated? Look at Trump who is only there because of Elon's $$. Look at Vance who is only there because of Thiel's money. You think they have any agency?

Look at the white men GOP who are literally staying mute because they fear a psychopath with dementia. They are scared to speak because of some death threats, even though women journalists get death threats all the time and it doesn't silence them.

Look at the MAGA base who wanted guns to defend tyranny, who are willing to go bankrupt for a fascist dictator or broligharchy who openly disdain them, instead of using their guns.

GOP/MAGA is a party of cuckolds.

Just wait until Trump starts taking away guns. That's next.

I too am glad he survived, but that alone doesn't make him a great president. You haven't given a single example of something great he did. Are you a bot, or incapable of thinking for yourself?
