Yes, we have free speech. But foreign citizens - even Green Card holders - advocating for violent religious extremists like Hamas becomes a national security concern. Hamas is well known for suicide bombings, blowing up buses and restaurants, torture, slavery, kidnappings and so on. Green Card holders seeking to increase the influence of Hamas in America - and college campuses in particular - is definitely pushing some legal boundaries.

Well done by the Trump administration, perfectly justified

There is literally a legal process the United States has to go to to strip a green card holder of a green card, and this literally ain’t it.
I’m actually pretty curious about the intersection of green card law and law regarding terroristic activity. I don’t think this is a flat-out free speech issue or a flat-out terroristic threats issue.

Criticizing Israel’s policies and actions does nothing to meet those elements.
It’s sad (but mostly pathetic) that anyone needs to point that out.
And, all in support of Hamas......
Was he convicted of these crimes? If so, then a hearing in front of an IJ is the next step. If not, then you should be ashamed of yourself.

What does “espousing terroristic activity” mean? What law? Stop making stuff up. Last time I checked, the First Amendment was actually the law. I’m Jewish and don’t agree with what this person said or did, but I am appalled by this arrest and the notion that lawful residents are being deported for exercising free speech.
Thank you for supporting the right thing. I am an immigrant Citizen and this feels my heart. This should worry everyone who is a naturalized citizen. The laws are not the same for us. Any day the govt can turn against us and declare the free speech we exercise is actually terroristic activity and we need to be deported. If this news does not worry you then you are not paying attention!
I'm a naturalized citizen too and as much as I can see that we should all be entitled to free speech, I exercise my rights with discretion. This man being deported should have realized that there is plenty of anti immigrant sentiment going on right now.

Again, expressing anger over genocide is not the same as fomenting terrorism.
Additionally, it’s mind-boggling that we’ve been conditioned to accept the terrorism designations as if they are pronouncements issued directly from the heavens. The entire apparatus that’s been empowered to designate who is (and who isn’t) a terrorist entity is as corrupt as corrupt gets - is anyone actually surprised who gets slapped with the designation after we’ve allowed decades of conflict of interest rot at State?
