The prices are way better in Spring, I can tell you that. But I just wanted to suggest not flying RT if you are going to an island (Santorini likely the only one "open" in Spring). We flew to Santorini, then home from Athens for about the same price as RT Athens.

Not to hijack, but this is what we are thinking for this spring. Would you recommend where you stayed? Particularly in Crete - there seem to be a few towns/cities and I am not sure the best base location. we would want to snorkel/scuba dive.
