Let me just say - I am not a snob. NONE of the above are what would be considered truly as "luxe." I've stayed in Luxe and I would actually suggest Nemancolin is more "luxe." However, I don't ever feel the need to return because it's somewhat cold. It's fancy but it's not beautiful.
Here's the thing- what I do care about is not technically if it's fancy or luxe but that my very high standards are met which means lux = comfort, delicious food and an environment/experience that is worth x amount of money I'm dishing out. That can be spa options, whatever options there are, even if none, just R&R scenery, I want it to be something that I cannot get easily and anywhere.
It does not have to be fancy but it does have to be a OMG I want to go again experienceBasing it on this, there is no where within 250 miles I would go around here that I think the $$ for luxe is really well spent.
Seriously go for the non luxe but beautiful B&Bs.

Blackberry is fine, but not weird as everybody makes it out to be. If I’m getting on a plane, plenty of other places I’d rather go.
Should say not as great as everybody makes it out to be.

My sister did this and reported back to me that it was swarming with kids, even at their fine-dining restaurant. Not relaxing for she & her DH.
