A lot of the probationary employees are senior employees who were recently promoted. So you're not just losing your newest recruits but your best performers as well.


I don’t think many people, including doge, understand that new positions and promotions in the government have a probationary period, no matter how long you’ve been working for the government.


DOGE understands this and simply does not care. This is about getting rid of as many people as they can as quickly as possible, full stop.

Yeah, remember the flyovers Trump had on July 4 last time he was in office?

The bands are military people, though (not civilians, I think).


All those things are done by officers.

That’s horrible. Not just for the department but the country. I’m sure your son will land on his feet but I’m not sure our country is going to recover from this.
