Incorrect. You’ll need to do much more than be a decent student. The bar for stats is interchangeable with Cornell, Brown and Duke.

Actually, at Vanderbilt a ton of students transfer into Peabody from other schools and do the Human and Organizational Development major. Lots go into business from there. Used to be more of a jock major, but now it seems like everyone there is transferring into it.

I'm so old that when I was college age, Vandy was considered more or less "unmotivated rich kid's school" - I guess it's still for rich kids but they have to try harder to get in now?

Emory is really easy from our private. Like top 30 to 40 percent of class if you ED. Vandy and GT legit hard admits. My kid isn’t at any of these schools.

Can say the same about Vandy, so you're proving my point. Also Gatech yeild protects heavily (see test scores) And they play the differ game moreso than other schools.


My point is that Emory is a significantly easier admit from the private my kids attend than Vandy or GT. That does not prove your point.

Maybe reread, One I don't beileve you, either way I'm saying Vandy admissions isn't different than Emory admissions so Emory is easier at your school but harder at mine and vise versa. Gatech isn't elite so who cares really, no one was talking about it. GT knows private school students don't want a public school so they yeild protect.


GT is Georgetown not GATech.

Georgetown is GU.

sample size of 1. My own kid. Valedictorian (public school), perfect GPA, 1560 SAT, varsity sports, decent ECs. Got into multiple T10s and WL at Vanderbilt.


Valedictorian at our private with 1580 SAT got rejected ED1 at Vandy within last few cycles.
