Predictions for the storm track have shifted on the models. Main zone more to the south of us so less snow.

I still haven’t gotten over the storm in 2016 where school closed for 6 school days - that was 10 calendar days.
That was a blizzard, though!
Schools weren’t closed for more than a week because of the temporary blizzard conditions. They were closed so long because of snowfall totals. In addition to all of the plowing and shoveling needed on school grounds, 1200-1300 buses had to be dug out of approximately 30” of snow.
