It looks like 6th, 7th, and 8thh also

I could be wrong but I thought funding issues cut the new basal....I've lost track with all the issues in FCPS.
I’m not sure either. I think 7-12 is still getting something? Some elementary are piloting the Carnegie clear math basal.
Unless there is a late-announcement, 7-12 basal(s) have not been selected (there will be one selected for 6-8, Algebra-Algebra 2, and AP/post-AP courses). The school board will have to vote on it, after it is presented at the previous meeting. So it's not happening for this year.
Got it. So pilots are probably happening for all and approval for next year.
If it’s not been selected yet, it won’t be piloted this year.
I know for a fact some schools are piloting a math basal. Not sure what that means for adoption next year but it’s happening.
They did community review but all the info is down and I don’t think the board picked one to go with.
At the elementary? Or secondary?
I’m a dept chair at a secondary school and was told Reid didn’t like any of the proposed suggestions and we were going to have to start over next year. I’m hoping that’s wrong. A lot of time and effort went into the original evaluation and selection.
