I must be the only one who hated our Bosch 800 series. The soap dispenser broke twice, something else broke, and then the inlet valve broke and we got rid of it recently. For the first three issues it was only a few years old.

+ 1 to Bosch 800 series- our prior dishwasher sucked and my parents recommended Bosch based on consumer reports and loving the Bosch model they have. We got ours a month ago and it’s performed perfectly, it’s so quiet you can’t even hear it when it’s on, etc. You can likely access consumer reports online through your local library if you want to check out testing ratings (you can in MoCo through MCPL) - I recall that most if not all of the top-rated dishwashers are Bosch.

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet but my GE is reaching an age where it’s inevitable and I want to be able to order one immediately rather than spend weeks researching. I love my Miele vacuums and my friend raves about her Bosch dishwasher so not sure who to believe LOL.

Just pick what’s important to you.

I care about having a fast cycle option and noise, and I don’t even use the drying option. Never have, don’t get it. So Bosch for me.

Other people wipe any drops of water off each thing before they put them away, and I don’t get that but it would definitely put drying power at the top of my list.

I recently stayed at an Airbnb that had a Samsung that opened on its own when done. Everything was completely dry. It was amazing. Costco had them. Look for “auto release”… it’s amazing!

Bump - also asking about the ball bearings. Our dishwasher's top rack broke off because of this.

OP here, I can't remember if I said this already, but we have a KitchenAid now and we've been happy with it up until recently when it started melting all our plastic (we don't use the drying function, and the appliance repair guy we called said we should just buy a new one, not worth repairing).

The only thing we don't like about our KA is the little ball bearings that are constantly falling out of the top drawer and the bottom drawer constantly falls off the tracks. Can anyone who has a newer KA model tell me if those two things have been fixed?

We have this dishwasher as well. I love the 3rd rack feature. Agree with the poster above…this dishwasher is so quiet!

We are happy with our KA. It is probably 15 years old. Still going strong. We do not rinse anything and it all comes out clean. We use a longer but more efficient cycle most of the time but there is a 1 hour cycle if you need speed. My favorite feature are jets in the back. You can put a baked over lasagna pain facing backwards and it will come out clean or 95% clean.

I loved my KitchenAid in my old house. We moved into a house that had an Asko. It was TERRIBLE. Didn't clean anything, filter clogged constantly and it was really small.

Bought a Miele this summer that I adore. Honestly, if you use your dishwasher daily, you might as well toss a little extra cash at it. Consider it long term happiness. I kick myself every day that I didn't bail on that Asko sooner.
