A truly empathic person would be able to pivot from his own defensiveness and also read the room about what Sara needs to hear and he would be wise to say “I really regret that something I did or didn’t do truly negatively impact someone else that way, and I want to apologize to her and to you for that.”

I know it’s unrealistic but it’s probably what Sara needs.

Also Sara means well but she is unhealthily focused on virtue-signaling her goodness. And her purity testt rt for others will never hold up because people come complete with flaws that she didn’t allow them to have.
And man is her sister’s partner domineering with her opinions. I can see now where Sara feels empowered to quickly judge and condemn others for their thoughts or ways of expressing things—it’s clearly done to Sara by her sisters partner all the time.

Did anyone else think it was weird that Taylor's parents welcomed Daniel's parents, who seemed to drive at LEAST an hour if not more, to their home and they didn't seem to offer them any drinks or snacks? If I were meeting people I'd be somewhat connected to for the rest of my life, I'd at least put out a small tray of things to nibble on, offer everyone water or something. So inhospitable.

Probably. But I also think he totally followed then unfollowed her on Insta. He did not deny it. Although that's not great, at all, I guess it's minor compared to the other transgressions coming to light.

Am I the only one who thinks the Insta thing is nbd? I could envision myself being curious and taking a look if mutual friends mentioned a particular name had been cast. Doesn't go with the rules of the show, but pretty human. His love of Christmas is clearly legit and is it so odd a 20something guy loves Taco Bell lol? To me this reads as producer-generated. They have to introduce some drama and suspense with the couples that are clearly the most solid. And I do think they're the most solid.

To me it’s a huge deal bc he knew she was hot and then could have easily tailored their convos to make it appear they had things in common just so she would feel drawn to him. It’s a great way to get chosen and go on a tropical vacay and get paid for it! So yeah it’s dishonest and completely misses the point of the experience. Plus it’s creepy.

I think he went with his gut that was warning him she would run, but I think subconsciously he was sensing her manipulative nature.

Seems like Madison was torn between Alex and Mason but when she got Mason to “validate” her by telling him that another guy was validating her more, she didn’t really want Mason. She just wanted to know she was “winning” and he was choosing her over Meg. She wanted Alex more but then decided to torch Masons chances with Meg because her ego needed Meg to know that Mason wanted her more.

I think that didn’t sit well with Alex because he’s an empathetic guy and didn’t like that she was being so vindictive.
Like they all literally just met 10 days prior. Why were her feelings so hurt that Mason was trying to backpedal to save face?
