I’m a retired American living abroad.

That’s a ton of money! Especially for people who mostly work from home. Eliminating tens of thousands of positions at $80K a pop is a huge savings. You Feds really are out of touch. That is a huge amount of money for the average American in flyover country. Just wow.

Feds don’t mostly work from home. Most work in the office. And how is it out of touch?
It’s out of touch to act like an $80K/year salary is nothing and shouldn’t be a target for government waste investigations. That was my point.

Many make more than $80K, you know that. I’m sure the argument is that DC cost of living is high, but well, not for long!

Note the base baiting: the total wage bill is featured at the top with no context for its % of the national budget or the services provided by those workers, whose pay is scaled for cost of living in different areas. He also does not disclose his own benefits from his government position, such as his power to shut down agencies that were investigating his businesses. Who is really serving the people?

Jokes on him, fed salaries have been public on the internet since the early 2000's

You think $80K and $66K are the same?
