Dude, we are just polite. It is not OK to be gleeful when you are winning, especially in front of people you know aren’t happy.

I am pleased with the changes but I would never say so or indicate that in front of my lib friends, because that is rude and mean. I just don’t talk about it or say something noncommittal if it is brought up. I am sure some of them think silence means I am unhappy with Trump, and that’s fine for them to think but not true.

Sometimes the truth hurts, and it has to hit, really hit, home before people get it. You might want to read the constitution again (or for the first time) if you think anything happening right now isn't cause for concern.

I'm sorry for my friends who are losing their jobs, and express sympathy in their individual situations, but overall, I still think that the country is finally on the right path. These people will be fine.

I think that elation coming from people you care about is just too disturbing. People who are elated are either elated by hatefulness, completely ignorant of what’s going on, or have completely drunk the Fox News kool aid and lack the critical thinking skills to see when they are being manipulated and lied to.

I have removed pro-trump acquaintances on social media because I'm a federal employee and I don't want anyone combing through past posts to find things to report me for. There's not a lot (I rarely post and it's mostly kid related stuff) but there's the occasional post if you go back far enough. None of them are people I was close to though, so that was easy.

The only people in a close orbit that are supporters are my former in laws. I just maintain a cordial distance and don't discuss anything political with them. They've gone down a deep conspiracy hole, so there is no logic or ability to discuss things with them.

I dunno, it’s crazy to me that there are people who deliberately take a head in the sand approach and are then super judgmental of people who are paying attention and are concerned. If you only look at what major players in the admin are saying, like Trump, Musk, Vance, and Vought, you would likely be pretty concerned. It really shouldn’t require any “liberal” commentary. I’m not sure why anyone would think being deliberately obtuse is something to brag about.
