I have been with the gov for 5 years and it took about 3 hours to download. If you’ve been an employee longer than 5 years, it will take some time. Also the system is probably dealing with a ton of requests right now.

Did you go to the "My eOPF Print Status" tab? I didn't get a notification that it actually printed there, but when I went to the tab, my pdf file was there.

It took mine like an hour. But I know folks at my agency are downloading and emailing it to themselves. This triggers our DLP system (I’m in cyber).

When you email the file to yourself, you may need to encrypt your email. You do this in Outlook by setting up the message with your eOPF attached then click on Options>Encrypt>Encrypt Only. This will not trigger your DLP system.

I get taking the PPAs offline to scrub DEI (if applicable) but why would they take eOPF offline?

To change length of service, delete documents, etc.

You know things are going well when the head of your division sends around instructions on how to bulk download your eOPF on a Sunday night, right?
