You can’t afford it, which makes you and your husbands opinions moot.

Implants scare me. I have considered fat transfer to the breasts instead

Horrible implants look horrible. I've seen a few stunning looking implants that were worth every penny she paid. You don't even know when you've seen implants often times. They have come a long way.

They might look good but the proof is how the funbags feel when getting groped. They always feel like there's a bag of silicone in there.

The look bad on the wrong body type. They can look perfectly fine if they are appropriately sized and the surgeon has a lick of sense about what they are doing.

You might want to explore using the stem cell or fat injections. Easier recovery than full cosmetic surgery with implants.

You made a statement that you would look great with bigger breasts. That is how you feel about yourself and he supported you in that.

You didn't ask him a question, you didn't ask him for input, you didn't ask him for his opinion. You made a statement about how you felt and what you wanted and he agreed.

Given you have an issue, it seems you were more playing head games and trying to be manipulative and he didn't fall for it.

Silicone implants have changed VERY little over the years. The gummy ones are associated with a type of cancer and all types are associated with chronic fatigue syndrome. They obscure mammograms, and capsular contracture, which makes them hard, is a very common side effect.

I’d love bigger boobs but it’s just not worth it.

Yeah this.

Don’t do it.

The OP's DH said nothing negative about the OP's body. He might have thought it was her choice because it was her body, and there was nothing to say.

A poster's response was:
Probably your DH would also look better with hair transplant, penile enhancement, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck and/or facelift, take a bigger loan

Why is this man hating? Are men so physically perfect that they, too, shouldn’t be expected to improve?

If you cannot see how a list of things she suggested was hateful, you are blind. She was not suggesting ways for him to improve. She said whatever she could to insult his appearance, the essence of hatefulness.

NP. If he can suggest she put together a payment plan for plastic surgery, the she can do the same? What's the issue?

Personally, I would never undergo major surgery (that conest with serious risks, and interferes with the effectiveness of future breast cancer screening) to stave off normal aging.

I feel fortunate that my self worth is not too heavily based upon my appearance.

She did ask him. That’s the post of her OP. Did you read it?

She did not ask him what he thinks. She “mentioned in passing she was thinking of doing it.”

Later she says maybe he thinks her busy could be better. She should ask him if that IS what he thinks about her body. Not go under the knife based upon reading his mind.

Anonymous wrote:After breastfeeding our children, I am considering a breast augmentation. I thought my husband (who loves me and thinks I’m very beautiful) would oppose this, because it’s expensive and obviously artificial. When I brought it up in passing “hey, I think I would look great with a boob job” he asked me how much it costs. Then he said I should look into loans to create a payment plan.

I was a bit surprised he didn’t say no or “you don’t need that” or “you look beautiful, please don’t”. I think I would be happier with a breast augmentation, but I would have probably been okay without it. Now I feel like I should pursue the procedure, because maybe my husband thinks my figure could look better too.

What would you do?

Had mine done and it was one of the best decisions ever!
I’d do it again in a heartbeat . Your husband is just trying to be supportive
