Why would administrations at applicants’ current schools know this?
This is the advantage of coming from a private and catholic school. Heads of schools sit down with the admissions director and advocates for each of their kids applying. Private schools know when parents pay $50k, there needs to be placement and this works to their advantage as well. Schools are aware of decisions prior because if a call is needed to get a child off the waitlist at another school, they will make it.

They send all of this information out in advance to your administration. Your admin know who gets in where from their school. They have been working with the Admissions team at each school for months now. Your school does not rely on you to provide that information. Admissions teams will also give a heads up to Admin if a particularly difficult decision may be coming so they can support that, as well.

We had an interview for the program but not sure if the interview is a good sign. I heard that a family was waitlist for the Benilde Program. They received this information last Friday from a school that has already released decisions.
Also, what if an applicant goes to a public school now apply to a private school, why would admissions contact the public school to let them know the decision?
