lol who chooses GW over Georgetown? That is like saying choose Harvard over BU
DP.
What about "Go to Georgetown if you get in" don't you understand? And did you mean to switch the two colleges in your last sentence? Are you drunk/high on crack?
My point was, it was ridiculous advice. Obviously anyone would choose Georgetown over GW. The problem is Georgetown is very hard to get into, whereas GW is not. Your advice is comparable to... choose Harvard over BU. Yeah, no s*** sherlock.

Not first hand insight, but from my understanding GW is attempting to fill the engineering void in DC schools. The new engineering building is great and they're trying to push the program forward.
Are there better schools or other options? Absolutely - not many can claim otherwise. With the right financial aid could it fit plenty of bright students interested in engineering and an urban campus? Sure!
GWU ECE is credible, but UMD, UMCP, and (yes) GMU also are credible. There is no “void” locally.

???

UMCP is very competitive for engineering, and UMBC/GMU are both commuter schools in the suburbs. There’s a niche for GW.
