Are you signed up for alerts because both of us in our household have gotten texts from WSSC.

Not everyone signs up for alerts from A-Z companies, to be flooded by alerts. It is the responsibility of those companies probiding essential services to contact ALL customers, not those who have chosen to sign up for an alert. It is basic communications 101.

Did you bother asking what that "usual length" is? Moron. There are people out there who understand the meaning of resources, have lived through similar situations and can take "short" showers, whatever "short" is. This forum's UMs should try getting out of their screens and websites once in a while.

According to the Rockville website, it is 0.4% not 40%

Where does my water come from?
Our primary source of water is the Potomac River. When Rockville’s water plant is not operating because of necessary improvements or maintenance activities, or in cases of regional drought, Rockville purchases water from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC). In 2023, Rockville purchased about 6.54 million gallons of water (approximately 0.39% of our annual production) from WSSC, which also receives its water from the Potomac River.

I'd really rather avoid a Boil Water advisory, (no one has time for that, especially if schools have to close)

I read about this last night on Nextdoor, but just recently got the Alert Montgomery text. Crazy to have that long a delay.
