Down? VA is not like DC. There are a handful of carjackings year in Arlington, usually committed by DC youth coming across the river. There were 5 in the first half of 2024.

A lot of the "catch and release" is actually because "liberal DAs" who would love to put some of these criminals away can't make a case because right wing racist cops can't follow proper procedure and won't stop violating civil rights. It's not a one sided political problem or nearly as simple as you believe it to be.
