Is LL Bean next on the tacky list?
Patagonia sells excellent value for money clothes with a lifetime warranty and a greater commitment to environmental protection than any other clothing brand I know. Other than the VC bros (who are all about signaling in their jobs) adopting it as their darling brand, what’s the problem?
You do what you want but I prefer to spend my virtue signaling on experiences.
We have the income to do both, IYKYK.

I was just in Denmark and most people either wear puffers or long wool coats. No furs. Did not see Canada Goose other than from American tourists. They are not the type of country that has people flaunting wealth.

I thought it would keep me warm in the freezing temperatures expected next week. But I went to the Galleria for a stroll and saw all these elegant women dressed in fur coats and sheepskin coats and wool coats. Lots of Mamont and Golden Goose puffers as well...
Is it better to get a nicer non-puffer coat for freezing temps?

All puffers are tacky. Get a nice leather coat or a wool pea coat. Puffer coats only make you look fat. No one wants to look fat. Being fat is REALLY bad.
