every 3 months or so I will drive out to the frederick costco and it’s a dream in comparison.
Instacart fees plus the Costco fee probably negate any savings.
Nope-And there are things that I can only get at costco. Also have non perishables shipped all the time and that alone makes it worth it. But I have 3 teenage boys so obviously my circumstances make bulk shopping a necessity. We also have a sam’s membership (I only do pickup) and walmart plus. I will do whatever to make things easier for myself 🙂.
Also if you have a Costco membership and go through their site, the Instacart fees aren’t bad.
About 50% more with tip.

Anonymous wrote:I am a foolish, foolish person. I decided to join Costco, and picked today to go and do it, thinking mid-morning on a weekday while people were at work would be smart. I went to the Gaithersburg location. OMG. It’s like if Gladiator and Squid Game were documentaries. The parking lot must qualify as one of the top 5 most populated cities in the U.S. just getting into the store— across the cross walk and through the entrance— required feats of aggression and a willingness to sacrifice elderly parents, young children, your limbs. Eventually I did make it inside with a cart and did some shopping, only to have my cart “taken” when I turned my head to look at something (or maybe they just took all the stuff in it, as there was an empty cart where my half full one had been when I turned back around).
To sum up: Costco has Kerry Gold butter for a good price, but I can’t imagine how I will ever succeed in buying it.

Anonymous wrote:I did the Wheaton location yesterday and it was not bad at all by Costco standards. but yes, I definitely have to be in the right mood for it and just expect/accept that every 4th aisle I will be stuck behind some couple who is blocking the entire lane to eat their salsa sample. It’s worth it for the Costco high
