We live Pierce's - make a stop there every time we are driving on I-64 near Lightfoot.

There are several other places to eat pretty close by, including a Chick-Fil-A, which is our all-time favorite breakfast.

GWL can make a nice break in cooler weather. Kids get to play in warm water. We have never gotten sick or had bed bugs on those trips.

Yes, 48 inches is the limit. My kids are tall, he was 48 inches by age 6.

Yes, well he's a bit unusual compared to most kids, so I am noting the height limit for OP because her child is probably not a giant.

The only slide with a 48 inch limit is the howlin' tornado one. The rest of them with a height limit are only 42 inches. The average range for a 8 year old girl is 47-54 inches so OP's child should likely be able to go on all of the slides, except *possibly* the tornado.

We've been to the one in Perryville twice. It's hot and humid and there were large crowds. There are lots of stairs for some of the slides. We've only been on weekends though so I'm not sure about crowds in the middle of the week. With your parameters, I wouldn't go.

We liked the Perryville one better. All the entertainment is on the main floor and it’s much more open and the theming is way better. The Williamsburg one has most of the shops in the basement and then the wand game two floors up.

The benefit of Williamsburg is there are more things to do outside the lodge if you’re making a trip if it. If you’re just going for Great Wolf, I’d go to Perryville.
