Linked-in is phenomenal to have as a high school student? Mine was networking and setting up shadowing the second he committed. The alumni have been wonderful. It’s a great tool to be utilized.

Someone went last year, but I don't think anyone applied to Harvard this year. It's never been popular for some reason.

This happened to mind last year, he wanted to be private and not share info. It doesn’t go over well. People were stalking his linked-in incessantly.

My kid was accepted to HYP and several other parents at school have been jerks. They were openly rude to my face and implied that my kid did not deserve the admission. I did not initiate the conversations as I had told no one. The parents came up to me as they knew about it through social media, etc.

This whole thing has been really sobering. I thought these people were my "friends." Not in DC. It's like a war for these college spots.
