For those of us who didn't have kids in this meet, how did PM nickel and dime?

Your kids know their times and splits. As to who made finals, they also can look at the printed and posted meet results on the wall. Parents stop complaining.

The results were wonky. My kid swam, they popped up on the notifications, made alternate but then are nowhere listed in the results on Meet Mobile. I have never had it act so weird.
Splits on relays were odd too. Most of them only recorded the first two swims and not the second.

I’m sorry that the volunteers after working a 14 hour day aren’t willing to go home and get you these needed results instead of eating and sleeping. Would you like to delay today’s start so they can do that and then have finals going until 9 pm? As many other people have attempted to tell you, it’s not so simple as pushing a button. Especially with poor WiFi.

Did they finally figure out how to use the internet?! 😂
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:In terms of what the meet mobile problem is, this is always a problem when you are swimming two pools with prelims and finals. The two pool computers and the finals computer need to be communicating with each other through a Ethernet connection in order to process results and finals scratches and get ready for finals. But that Ethernet connection overrides the WiFi connection. Meet mobile requires a WiFi connection. So in order to push to meet mobile you have to unplug the Ethernet connection. Doing that had some consequences and it means it doesn’t always come back up right. When making the choice between making sure results are getting to the scratch table and the meet is able to keep running vs disconnecting to go to meet mobile? This is not a hard choice. The meet must keep running. There are some ways around this problem, but the exact fix varies depending on the specific computer/ internet options etc.
So why is this only an issue when the Marlins run a meet? Seems to work fine at other meets with two courses 🤦♀️
