I love mac and cheese but traditional thanksgiving everything is better IMO. Yes I am white.

Mac and cheese is traditional Thanksgiving food.

I think it’s an African American/ White southerner thing. “Traditional” varies by culture and region.

White Southerner here with a large extended family. No one ever made mac and cheese for any get together we ever had. Not any holiday or reunion. Don't know why. We almost never had it growing up. Never saw it offered in family style restaurants growing up.

As a Southern white woman, I'm not sure why they are asking. The question should be do you make it fluffy with adding beaten eggs to the cheese or not. I like both.

Eggs or roux?

I can report that the people who wanted everyone who ate mac & cheese loved the velveeta box recipe. Success.
