Bioology is STEM, but I always think, in the context of SAT, high math/STEM you are really talking about Comp Sci/Engineering - more than the biological sciences. Any thoughts on Biology as a STEM major as to SAT?

Good luck with that if you’re not URM.
780 out of 800. Like 99th percentile.
Race has nothing to do with it. Affirmative action is banned. Did you get the memo?
They removed the checkbox. Race is still a factor. Didn’t you read the opinion?
No reason to disparage URMs. A 780 isn't a 500 or anything. Anyone who achieves that score in math can do the work at MIT.
Agree no need. But also no reason to think race is no longer a factor in college admission.

Or just guessing based on your own child’s admission … with that exact score, to those types of schools? I tend to agree that it probably doesn’t matter but I really have zero idea. I’m curious how people can have such strong views here.
This is DCUM, the message board of choice for the confidently incorrect.
Seriously, though, this area is full of book-smart (in certain subjects) striver know-it-alls who lack social skills and self awareness. Of course they can confidently rank the rigor of every program at every University in the country because they… check (rather arbitrary) college rankings religiously and argue online with other confident (ignorant) know-it-alls constantly![]()
