It would probably be lonely to be a male student that's not playing a varsity sport, there are ~39 male students per grade who are not on a varsity team. Likely even fewer freshmen because athletes often drop their sport in later years due to injuries, change of priorities, etc. Also these teams are recruited athletes, not walk-ons, so don't attend expecting be able to join a team after you start.
