Sometimes I wonder how germophobes get through the day. Were you also the same people yelling at those unmasked outside during covid?

Of course not. If you're this concerned about allergies or cleanliness or whatever, then just don't eat the cake.

And because it seems like you might need to hear this: Don't bother the bride or groom (or anyone else) about this. If you have particular concerns, then you just skip the food.

A sign near the cake, if buffet style, or, a gracious announcement before serving. “This homemade cake was made with love by Karla. Thank you, Karla!”

And then what? You frantically look for Karla’s personal IG to see if there any cat pics before you can take a bite?

Bakeries should indicate the number and type of pets on their business cards! There should be a law!!!

You're a lunatic. How do you leave your house with anxiety like this?

Baked goods are a very low risk food group. You will be ok. I'm a food safety manager at an FDA inspected factory

You all are so weird.

I worked in a really nice bakery when I was younger. I remember pulling the top off a giant canister of raisins once and a whole swarm of flying insects escaping out the top. If you think commercial food is being produced in perfectly sterile environments, think again.

Just don't eat it. Catering and restaurants don't come with any guarantees, either.

How would you like this information conveyed to you?

I’d want to know. I want to know how they wipe down their counters, if cats are allowed on them, if they’ve washed their hands. People are gross.

Just feed me cake. I go to weddings for the kiss and the cake.
