I've known a few Grande's and only one family pronounces it like the Grandee way. Funny how things work

She said she grew up with everyone in her family pronouncing it like Grandee, but her brother thought it was cool to start pronouncing it Grahn-day (think coffee size). Family still considers it Grandee.

And all the American Italians I know with the same last name. She’s of Italian descent regardless of how she pronounces her own name.
