If Trump really wanted to take on Big Pharma and big Food companies, he would not need RFK jr for it. the GOP controls Congress, he could start with negotiating drug prices for Medicare patients. this is just for show, making a lot of noise and making the base happy while damaging things he does not care about. I bet a few dinners at MarALago with Pharma executives duly sucking up to him and some extensive purchase of Trump resort memberships (or straight up bribes in off=-shore accounts) will be enough to make sure real damage to Big Pharma and Big Food is not done. after all, if you take away garbage food and drinks half of MAGAs do not know what to eat and drink

The only reason Republicans are questioning public health guidance is because Trump did not want the stock market to tank due to shutdowns in 2020 and hurt his electoral chances. He sowed distrust and encouraged people to ignore public health officials because he thought it would benefit him personally. That’s it.

He had a felony drug conviction when he was young and was a heroin addict for 14 years. How is this normally treated during the confirmation process?
