Campaigns seem like huge money laundering operations. Who the hell spends a billion dollars in three months of a campaign

You’re naive. TV and digital ad buys is how the grifters skim/embezzle most of money.

Yes, says the ass lickers of the orange grifter.

They are "reporting" on a X post from a Politico bureau chief. If this was really newsworthy then Politico would be reporting on it from their website.

DP. Here's Newsweek reporting on it. Certainly sounds like something. I found this astoundingly pathetic. What a waste of money.

According to The New York Times, the Harris campaign spent "six figures" to fly banners over four NFL games in October in an attempt to reach male voters in swing states. The Guardian reported in November that it also spent "a reported $450,000 a day" to have ads displayed on the Las Vegas Sphere in the swing state of Nevada.

Really? Don't you have better things to do like dismantling the government, attending the Inauguration ball,...

Are you ok? Is this embarrassing for you?

Embarrassed about what?

Campaigns in general are just big scams. Everyone is money grabbing embezzling and kicking back. And nobody ever audits, nobody ever faces criminal charges. Everyone just moves on. It’s a license to steal.

One BILLION was her budget? That's shameful to have spent that much money on any campaign, even if she won.

Also "reporting" on a post on social media, and makes clear little is actually known about this.

Look I think it's sad they asked for so much money and it didn't really do anything, but I'm more worried that so many people don't understand the difference between social media and journalism.

They supposedly raised over $1 billion to spend on this campaign. Did it wind up in the pockets of consultants? Go to the stars they paid for entertainment? Genuinely curious as to how this could have happened. And wondering if the lower- level staffers who actually worked their tails off for weeks ever saw a paycheck.

Good question. The answer: They ran the campaign the same way they run government. They don’t give a damn about other people’s money. That’s also why they will no longer be running government (at least for the next 4 years).

It has always been a valid knock on Harris that she’s been an incompetent administrator and manager. A campaign is just like an enterprise and it should surprise no one that she mismanaged it to defeat. Including mismanaging the finances.

When the campaign finance reports come out, I will not be surprised to see massive wasted resources and even expect that she paid Beyoncé appearance fees with donors money.
