That's not true. The second, and most important point for me, is that it will allow persons registering as Independent to vote in either the D or the R primary for mayor.
I'm thrilled. I can finally throw off the facade that I'm a Democrat, even though I've been registered that way for almost 20 years. I would hate to die a Democrat.

Either way DC Council should have Zero say in whether it’s implemented immediately. Quite frankly, it would be tantamount to both repudiation of democracy and should be equally punishable as taking a bribe. Essentially, should have disbanded it the day they voted to remove term-limits.
