My very tired 10-year-old had a case of missed mono. There were other things going on that we attributed the exhaustion to, but eventually had bloodwork done. Your ped will order a blood panel which can give you answers or at least rule things out.

Don't know if this applies, but we had this issue with our DD, and treating anxiety with medication helped.
