Not correct information at all.

Just move to a diverse, mixed income area - you will see much less of this in public schools. We are in Easter MoCo and I don't see it at all with my middle schooler's friends.

Just don't go to Landon.

I'm only speaking to my son's experience, so it could be the others feel differently, and I know it varies depending on the particular makeup of the grade, but his former school paid a LOT of lip service to diversity and inclusion, while the culture among his peer cohort was filled with a lot of kids who were distracting inside the classroom and spent a lot of time and energy excluding and being mean to one another outside of it. Exclusion was the name of the game. It seems like Landon has a much better handle on these things from the top down with the teacher/coach/mentors ACTUALLY paying attention to what's going on -- the culture is that they actually take one another seriously in the classroom and as a result the boys are able to bloom where they're planted and feel more comfortable in their own skin. The school makes an effort to create community among the boys and (most of) the boys seem to buy into that.

Are you sure it’s as bad as you think? I have boys and while I’ve seen some stuff I dislike, I have also seen very positive pro-social supportive behaviors among the boys, and a lot of kindness. (I’ve also seen some awful texts from girls). I wonder if you will see a broader range when your son is that age, rather than observing from your current perch.
