+1 it feels like a game. It was frustrating for my dd. I think with my second we will try the act.

Yes, I have twins and one took the ACT and one the digital SAT (their choice).

The ACT was the same level of difficulty each time. This kid took it twice and scores were consistent.

The SAT ranged in difficulty from easy to super hard, depending on test date. this kid took it 5 times and had a 200 point spread (low, highest, low, high, low).

Unfortunately i think the ACT is also changing to digital.

Will study more and take again. Also going to take a serious look at ACT now.

did he finish the math 2 module?
my dd is getting seriously depressed over this s...t

Yes, he finished math 2, but said he had to guess on the last 2 because there was no time left.

Mine said the same - ran out of time before he could do the last 2 questions in 2nd math module - but he said one of them was not multiple choice, so he didn't guess at that one. Also had the same issue others noted about a strange question set up that he thought was either a mistake or a "test" question for College Board. Don't different kids get different questions based on how they are doing on the test? He's hoping those were the only 3 he got wrong but who knows. He thought the verbal was fine.

Was the strange question in the middle of the 2nd math module or at the end of it? It could be an experimental question but so annoying if students spend too much time on it, potentially causing them to run out of time toward the end.

Towards the end. Involved principal and interest and exponentials.

Did you take the test? Or did your DC report these details?

DD not me. She has shared very detailed info on the math portion but nothing at all on verbal.

thanks

At least 8 of the 44. Maybe 1 or 2 more acc to DD. She said that there is no indication how many decimal places to include, which makes the FRQs tricky too.

op here, dd told me math2 only 5 mcq and all others frq

That's a big difference, so maybe my DD remembers incorrectly.

DP. Different students get different questions. There is no guarantee that your kids had the same test.

they both had harder module 2. is there just an easy and hard module, or easy, medium and hard?

Module 1 is easy. Module 2 is easy or hard. But, that's for multiple sets of questions. With the test being electronic, it's easy for College Board to not give the same sets of questions to most kids. They switch them up. I would not assume that any two kids had the exact same test even if some of their questions were the same.
