Is this a new tikTok thing?
Should I be concerned ? Tell him he can't do this?
If he gets a stuffy nose during the night he can die in his sleep.
If he has to sneeze during his sleep (extremely unlikely) he will be forced to sneeze through the nose and he could rupture a brain blood vessel.
Do you have any evidence for these claims?
Why don’t you try it? Get some duct tape over your mouth when you have a stuffy nose and sleep on it!

Nowhere near as effective as something like Hostage tape

Anonymous wrote:I do it as well and it works great. I used to not be able to sleep on my back because mouse would open up and I would wake up startled with a lack of air feeling.
Mouth taping has fixed that and supposedly body regulates o2/co2.nitrogen ratio in order to keep nasal passages de-congested. I was concerned beforehand about nose getting congested, but it has actually become better. Supposedly I do not snore anymore either.

Your body would wake you up when it felt like it wasn't breathing well.
Anonymous wrote:They sell neoprene head straps to keep your mouth closed as well. You can get them on amazon. Seems like tape would be really uncomfortable.

This didn’t work for me. It would slip off during the night.
Nothing wrong with tape just not duct tape!
