Same, it was awful. I miss the watch parties but totally understand we all want to just sit on our couches in the dark with our vice of choice.

I'm working the election (closing the polls and delivering results to election HQ) so will probably have a quick sandwich before I report in. I likely won't be home until close to midnight.

Bottle of vodka and bottle of champagne on ice will open one around 10 pm.

I will be too nervous to eat much (mostly will be drinking!) but planning on Indian food for Kamala (I'm Indian-American). My kids gotta eat something at least...

Mt election night meal poses a bit different challenge because I work at the polls so I need something I can pack and eat pretty quickly. My usual is a charcuterie type collection of some good olives, peppers, cheese, almonds, and some sort of cracker. But this year I am feeling like trying something different. I might make some chicken salad with grapes and tarragon or maybe make some soup that I can microwave with some bread. I enjoy planning my Election Day meals, including some totally decadent treat that I will eat mid afternoon when I start to feel like I’ll never make it to the end. I’m thinking some sort of super chocolatey tart this year.

Today’s fast food is not really food. Not shocking but sickening. But go on and drive -thru and do you.

If it isn't food, what is it? It's certainly American. We invented the drive thru.

I’m not planning anything special for election night. If Harris is declared the winner, I’ll plan a celebration later. If Trump is declared the winner, I’ll be sheetcaking the next day.
