Trump lies mainly to stir up fear, hate, and division. That is the danger. Sadly, people tend to be led by fear, not hope. Hitler led this way and Trump is following his playbook. It's dangerous and incomparable to lies of past/present politicians. It's clear that Trump voters don't care about his lies, his criminal record, or anything else. He was right when he said he "could walk down 5th Avenue and shoot someone and still win." His supporters have bought into the cult and nothing will change their minds.

The thing is, both parties have covered for their geriatric candidates’ deterioration. The Democrats finally acknowledged Biden’s decline and forced him out. The Republicans are still lying about Trump’s.

None of that is comparable to the way Trump handled his loss.

The two parties do lie equally, in terms of quantity of lies or illegality of lies or dangers posed by their lies.
