I understand your concern about the reliability of a source that has published questionable material in the past. However, dismissing everything a person says just because of their past isn't sound reasoning either. That would be an example of a “genetic fallacy”, where we assume something must be false purely because of its source.

For context, I’ve never heard of Mr. Rosiak before, so I don’t have any biases for or against him. But regardless of the source, the best approach is to focus on the content itself and whether it's verifiable through **independent evidence**. Instead of dismissing the article outright, it’s more productive to ask: Can the claims in this specific case be corroborated by other sources? If they can be, then it doesn't matter who first published it. The truth remains the truth, regardless of the source. If it can't be verified, then it's reasonable to be skeptical. In general the CCP has been conducting a lot of influence campaigns in US schools (most notably colleges and universities) recently. This is seen by the original authors (National Review, not Daily Wire) as an extension of that.

Whether it actually is an influence campaign is incredibly unclear at this point, at least in the Daily Wire article linked.

I suppose if you think TJ is some sort of national treasure it would also bother you to have it so easily exported, or exported while the public was kept in the dark about the fact. As a TJ grad I am quite convinced the US has many other good schools, though most of the comparable ones are private.
