My husband is a hoarder: I made a big stink about him getting a Costco membership and he eventually let it expire. He still manages to hoard food in our house with just the regular grocery runs, but at least I don't have to trip over supersized packs of stuff.

Also, he needs a refresher on what diabetes is, what it does to the body, and how soon your divorce will materialize if he insists on foisting on you an easily preventable caregiving burden. You don't need more dead weight in your life.

Yes to this. I have a Costco membership but won’t buy things like chocolate bars and high volume things I can’t control the intake of—most of the time. It’s tempting and I sometimes buy the thing of croissants. And I put them in the freezer and eat as needed.

Yes sounds like you may want to assume the roll of shopping maybe?

Hide the Hershey bars and give to trick or treaters

Are you upset about the spend or the types of food he is eating? If it’s the spend, I’d assume there is an amount you’ve agreed upon that each can spend as you see fit? Does this fall inside or outside that?

If it’s the food, this is much harder. Adults should not attempt to control the eating habits of another adult. Even if the food is bad for you. I love sweets and my husband knows to keep his mouth shut even if he thinks it’s too much.

Go read OP. He bought 2 PACKS of danishes and ate 1 after lunch. I assumed OP meant he ate 1 whole pack.

You guys sound like no fun. Is he really not allowed to eat a danish? I bought a six pack of cupcakes at Costco and we split one for dessert. What is the issue with pork chops?
