Nowhere us anyone saying it will be downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it hits Tampa Bay! What are you talking about? It will lose some intensity due to wind shear, but not down to a tropical storm. The storm surge is going to be the major issue and that’s already churning due to the intensity of the storm. That will not be reduced……

That will only impact the winds it will not impact the storm surge at all. Anyone living on Tampa Bay needs to prepare for total loss.

My parents are in south Hillsborough, inside mandatory evacuation.

We have family further inland, so they will go there. I hope they don't lose everything. They are pretty calm about it.
