I literally watched this movie with my daughter 2 weeks ago. It’s on amazon prime. A gorgeous Diana Rigg plays the cruel murder victim!


I really didn’t know who she was until the HP movies so it’s been fun for me to see that actually I sort of grew up watching her in different roles without knowing who she was! One of the many talented theater actors who supported themselves with small character roles in movie and TV over the years.

PP. The movie is on Amazon Prime and I watched it this summer. It was also mentioned in yesterday's NYT article linked earlier about Maggie Smith performances to watch. You get shaky at a visual from the 1900s? We'll stick to Harry Potter and Downton Abbey so you don't feel left out. Talk about weird gatekeeping.

I never understood the appeal of Vanessa Redgrave. She just plays the same role every time and is insufferable. She's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

The other three are fabulous. The UK tends to value the acting. The US used to value acting more, but recently seems to value looks and "celebrity" more.
