Why is that your example rather than, say, my fave, which is topped with sautéed spinach, chopped garlic, and fresh tomato? Or my DH’s, which is mushroom and green pepper? But mozzarella, pepperoni, and tomato sauce are not devoid of nutrients at all, given the amount of protein, vitamins and calcium they offer. Do you want to eat those slices all the time? No, too much sodium, nitrates, and saturated fat. But but they are absolutely fine for the occasional meal, especially with the guilt order of salad.
