An ignorant statement from an ignorant old guy. Over half of the professional PB players on the PPA tour were former ATP/WTA players. Even Scott Scheffler plays pickleball.

And in the 1990s every college put in sand/beach volleyball courts. Pickleball is just the latest thing. It’s not going to become an Olympic sport.

Yes, they got too old for serious tennis so they retired! A professional tournament last spring in Palm Springs had an Orthopedic Group as their lead sponsor. Pretty clever marketing on their part.
