Bingo! So sad that young people who could be playing tennis are settling for pickleball, a sport literally created for the old and infirm.

This is stupid. Meeting people at 23 is incredibly easy. Try meeting people in your 40's or 50's. that's hard.

You’re talking to a bunch of middle agers about your 23 year old son. Yes I wasn’t on OLD back then either. All I had to to do was show up, anywhere.

He says it's for out of shape old people who will soon tear an achilles.

An ignorant statement from an ignorant old guy. Over half of the professional PB players on the PPA tour were former ATP/WTA players. Even Scott Scheffler plays pickleball.

I mean also "Hey did you know you can meet people doing activities" isn't exactly stunning new advice.

People seem to have forgotten though.

That’s changing! My college freshmen and his buddies would go play in the evening last summer…and these at D1 athletes Its now on a lot of college campuses for kids to screw around with.

And in the 1990s every college put in sand/beach volleyball courts. Pickleball is just the latest thing. It’s not going to become an Olympic sport.

Volleyball became an Olympic sport.

Yes, they got too old for serious tennis so they retired! A professional tournament last spring in Palm Springs had an Orthopedic Group as their lead sponsor. Pretty clever marketing on their part.

Orthopedics always advertise at sports. People get injured.

Womens tickets usually sell out first for singles stuff like this, dont they?
