Thing is. They could get the opinions without the grift and blatant corruption. While I disagree with the conservative direction of the court, I had at least assumed that they were ethical. I was obviously naive and wrong.
Clarence Thomas would have resigned at least a decade ago if not for the river of dirty money that was arranged to flow his way when he first started complaining about how he was underpaid. So all of his opinions would not be here without the grift and blatant corruption.
I’m surprised he and Trump don’t hang out together more often. Grifters of a feather.

Say it isn't so!
LMAO!
It's just that you are starting to realize that government and politics in general is bad, not that it is something new.
You are part of the problem. No, government is not bad. Bad people in government is bad. Stop voting for terrible people. We have had way more honorable, ethical SC justices than criminals. The GOP owns the unethical ones.
Also, let's not give them lifetime appointments as well as easier ways to oust unethical judges since impeachment doesn't work.
We could start by having a code of ethics and enforcing it. Once upon a time SCJ were expected to be beyond reproach and generally took this outrageous responsibility seriously so it wasn’t needed. Now we have clowns who whine about not making enough money and who have horrible temperaments like spoiled brats. If they don’t respect their roles, we have to manage them like children.
Shame and propriety is something the right no longer asks of its elected officials or justices.

Well first of all 99.999999% of political candidates ARE bad people. Good people don't want to be in politics tryna tell everyone how to live their lives.
Second of all, you are assuming voting is fair and elections are not rigged. It is asinine to not realize it is mostly rigged.
So perhaps it is you....
