My son received that LUM grant, but we make more money on paper than most colleges think is worthy of FA.

I called asked about it. They said they noticed we had 2 students in college at the same time, and that's why we go the LUM grant. I think it I is a discretionary fund.

Thank you! We also will have 2 in college and didn't get any financial aid offers with our 1st child, so I wasn't expecting a need based grant.

I think private schools are more likely to give some need based aid if you have two kids in college.

Loyola has very little to do on campus. Most students have fake ID’s and take expensive Uber trips to bars in Baltimore. That is basically the social scene. Not great. And Baltimore is is not a safe city.

In one direction, yes. You can go a mile away and it isn't as desirable for taking a jog alone.

However, it is really a suburban campus.

I’d say it’s safe in three directions- north, south, west. Those areas are the wealthiest neighborhoods in the city- Homeland, Tuscany- Canterbury and Guilford, Roland Park. It’s the east side of campus that has the most crime. Mostly car break ins.

On the Loyola Admissions Instagram page, they stated the first batch of EA admissions were released on 12/18 and the rest will come out mid-January. Hang in there and good luck!

The Loyola grants are need based. My son has one.

Incorrect. They offer merit and need base

Doesn't look like it.

Doesn't look like what? Sorry- not following?

The Loyola grant is listed under need based on the website. It is not listed under non-need based like a PP said.

Did you already submit the fafsa?

We did, but Loyola had a separate form for Early Action,in case the FAFSA was delayed again, that they were using to estimate aid.

Thanks! We got that email but didn't do it.
